Patrick Mahomes’ polarizing brother Jackson was seen helping a lost child in the immediate aftermath of Wednesday’s fatal parade shooting – and he won over a Kansas City Chiefs fan in the process.

‘I don’t care what anyone says but I have found a new found respect for Jackson Mahomes,’ X user @jess6mami wrote Wednesday. ‘Ana and I were stuck hiding with him at union station by the trains and he was taking care of a child who lost his parents and helping him calm down.’

Jackson and Patrick’s mother Randi responded with a ‘heart’ emoji, prompting the woman who wrote the original post to offer thanks.

‘Hope the kiddo was able to be reunited with his family!’ she wrote, adding, ‘tell Jackson we say thank you!’

Randi then responded: ‘What a scary unthinkable day.. thankful you all were together for those moments. As i mom i want to thank you. Jackson was able to get the child to the police for help. Blessings to you.’

The Super Bowl LVIII victory parade was marred by another mass shooting as at least 22 were injured, including one fatality – a mother of two named Lisa Lopez-Galvan.

‘She was the most wonderful, beautiful person,’ friend Lisa Lopez told the Kansas City Star. ‘She was a local DJ. She did everybody’s weddings. We all know her. She was so full of life.’

There have been three arrests in connection with the shooting, which is not believed to have been targeted.

Jackson Mahomes previously drew criticism from fans after being charged with three felony counts of sexual battery after video emerged of him grabbing a woman by the neck and forcibly kissing her.

Prosecutors in Overland Park, Kansas have since dropped the charges, citing a lack of cooperation from the woman, a local restaurant owner named Aspen Vaughn.

Police say they were told by Vaughn that Jackson was friendly with her stepdaughter but had been previously tossed from the restaurant on other occasions.

Prosecutors have not dropped the case entirely, and could proceed using the video as evidence in lieu of testimony from the alleged victim.

More recently, Jackson , looked to be denied entry into a VIP section where his sister-in-law, Brittany Mahomes, was located during a Future concert last week in Las Vegas.

Jackson was seen telling a security guard he was the Chiefs quarterback’s younger brother, and therefore related to Brittany.

Despite this, the security guard denied Jackson entrance to the section.

Brittany, who shares two children with signal caller Patrick, gave two obvious shrugs at her brother-in-law, then continued to dance to the rapper’s music.

The interaction came a day after Jackson was spotted with Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole. Brittany has become fast friends with the tight end’s new flamer, Taylor Swift.
